Sketching for Self-Healing?

Images have enormous power, and images freed from deep within ourselves can change us profoundly.  When an image emerges from within, we glimpse and feel the energy of the universe, and our very soul.  I would encourage anyone who is healing to make the experiences you have in meditation or in deep healing sessions tangible through drawing and writing.  This helps integrate the work into the present moment.

I share my personal journals and sketches in Wellness Wisdom – and some of them are even featured on the Wellness Wisdom website.

i love hearing about your sketches in “Wellness Wisdom”, Alice. so meaningful!

as an artist, i got into sketching during purposeful meditation — well over a decade ago. friends still ask me to include a loved-one in meditation for a best-outcome; and even while mindful of the loved-one’s location, i sketch him/her with positive imagery, actions, surroundings. i write the loved-one’s name with positive words & statements on the picture too.

the act of ” creative affirmation”– while concentrating & manefesting on the sketchbook-page — is powerful. art is a “verb”; it belongs to all; hopefully more of us can use it in our times of “Going Within”.

thanks for including thyis today’s discussion. as always, continued best wishes.
