I have long offered in-person and phone sessions to my clients, but there is often a hesitation at the idea of trying a phone session. While each person and situation might be different – and some people love the act of getting out of their physical space to attend a session – phone sessions do work as a well as in-person ones.
I want to share the following study; it compares people who sought psychotherapy in-person with people that had phone treatments. In this study they come to the conclusion that psychotherapy has many of the same benefits no matter if it takes place face to face or over the phone. In most cases people where more likely to keep their phone sessions than their in-person ones, as it impeded their live less.
So if you just can’t make the time to attend a meditation, workshop, or schedule that session – know that you are always welcome to attend via phone, and you will receive the same benefits.
